Recent photos
Here are some recent pics of the kids - it was warm here recently- and this is when they were outside playing.
There are some other ones of them getting ready for bed and picking out books for story time.
Eileen, Rita and Mom, these are for you!
Here is an update. Jo had her surgery- she is doing pretty well. She looks like she is "winking" at you. She looks so pitiful- I feel really bad for her. She is not a youngin' anymore.
She is on antibiotics and she has pain medicine. She has to have this "e collar" on until the stitches come out. They did send her eye to pathology, so hopefully, we will get an answer as to why this happened.
Otherwise, we are all healing here- we have all been sick, in some way or another. The last 3 weeks have really been bad- so here's to Friday and to, hopefully, all of us feeling better!

Jo Boxer
Our dog, Jo, is 9 years old and recently has had a "bum eye". We noticed it about 2 weeks ago or so, her eye, tearing up and then finally, having matted drainage.
It seemed like overnight, her eye then changed color. We took her to the vet, and it was unsure whether, or not, she had a cataract or an infection. The eye became so inflamed that they could not even see through to the lens of the eye.
So over the past weekend, she had to wear a "e collar" so that she would not rub the eye, was given medicine for the eye and we waited to see if it improved. It had not, so today, our Jo Boxer had to have the eye removed.
This has all happened so quickly. She had the surgery today, and she did well. She is staying over one more night and then she will come home tomorrow.
She has been a pretty good dog, even though, in the recent years ( since kids have come into the picture) she has been a little more needy. Overall, though, she is a good dog, and is good with the kids.
It is a little more quiet here since she has been gone.
We have all been slowly, feeling better- Rob and I with head colds, the boys with double ear infections and a bum eye for our dog.
The only one healthy, is the cat Spankie!
I will be adding some more pictures soon - but in the mean time- here is Jo- before surgery.
