Here is a cross stitch pattern I received

We went to Changing Hands and found some treasures using my Christmas cash. ; )
Pre new year planning!!!
It is almost the new year and I always like to set some goals.....
I have some time before I start my new job to get a few things done and do some planning..
I always make a book list...this year was better, I read about 10 books this past year. In 2015, I have a longer list....some that carried over....
First and foremost is to get back to work and save some money!!! I have a savings goal and would love to meet that
Hiking.... hiking and more hiking!!! It has been a little cool, but I am going to start with the boys tomorrow and get on this before the 1st!
Scrapbook and cross stitch.... (knitting- if I can get the hang of this) is also my plan...and less t.v. although I really do not watch much of this as it is.....
So today, started to take the decorations down and put away..... I'm ready for the new year, since the end of 2014 has been kind of crappy!! Here are some recent pics!!

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving!! I'm thankful for my husband, boys, family and friends.
We had a 2nd T Day celebration at my sisters and then had fire with smores.... the kids went hot tubbin and I enjoyed - generously- warm cider with orange juice cinnamon and I spiked it with rum! This was Mark's recipe and it was yummy!
I'm still in a funk but I am trying to celebrate for the kids....we put up the tree and some of the decorations....Jingle the elf has yet to make an appearance....I'm sure he is on his way.....

Changes.....self care.....slowing down
lately things have been chaotic...busy..it is time to slow down.....take care of myself...more hiking, bike riding and taking care of my kids, more quality time with them and R. Now that, hopefully, the heat is breaking...the time is to get outdoors, purge/organize the neglected garage, get the kids in outdoor activities all while not having specific timelines, but being efficient......this may not make sense, but it is a balance between having fun and getting things accomplished. Lately it has been a tornado of demands, tasks and not really enjoying it and not being too productive!
I'm ready for changes
Rob made peach granola french toast this morn....this was yummy!
I am backlogged with magazines and the 1st book of A Discovery of Witches trilogy library book.....
Before the a/c died...I got my 3 foot work table out and my rolling cart and was planning on doing the Project Life scrapbooking....but now with the portable a/c unit..this will have to wait. I'm needing to get my photos in albums and current....soon I will get to this

Snow Globin'
Today the boys and I decided to make homemade snow globes...we went in for Christmas do-dads....but ended up getting some Halloween figurines....they were very inexpensive... all half off, I had the glitter at home and then we had to find glycerin in the cake baking area....
Michaels was out of it so we had to go to Hobby Lobby....even tho I really didn't want to go there! (I really love what's at Hobby Lobby....I just do not want to support this corporation) but the boys wanted to do them today... and so did I!!! So I was desperate and went there...
It was fun...we found out a little glitter goes a long way....black glitter can look like mud....it is not necessary to use glycerin and it takes good quality jars or recycled ones from our food jars work out best. Check out photos below
Next we will have to do Christmas ones....
