The Heat is on................

Over the weekend, we purchased a pool for the summer. It was the best timing, as the weather here is hot as hell!!!!!! Not only was it in the upper 90's- the humidity is up there.

We spent the weekend filling the pool up and then finally getting to enjoy it on Sunday- but it was so cold- I left my cover up on and didn't let the water go above my waist.

Jake only wanted to ride "the donkey" and Owen sat in the baby ring- and then wanted me to hold him. He is my little babe- he is DEFINATELY a mama's boy!!

Sometimes you just have to face your fears.

You have to do what you don't want to , just so you can say you did, you lived through it , and you are strong.

Something to add to my list- yikes!

Ok, after looking at my own post and pictures from the last entry, I need to add something to my To Do list.

Checkout below my front door, I need to paint the trim! Yikes!

To Do or Not to Do.........

I love lists. There is something very satisfying when I have a list and when I get something done off that list, I can mark it off. I have always been a list maker- I think I got it from my Dad. He is a list maker. I am not sure if he still makes list, I should ask????

Anyhow, I make all sorts of lists- grocery lists, Target list, "to do" list, wish list, goal list, a list of lists- Just kidding- now that would be too weird ; )

Spring time is here- and with us being very busy- I am in full list mode. I haven't had a list in the last 2 months or so. Now is the time to return to my old friend, so that I don't have to think anymore. Now if only I can come up with a way to get all the things done on my list.

A couple of things on my To Do List that I did get done, was to plant flowers and get a hanging basket.

Busy Weekend ......

We had a busy weekend- we ended up getting a tent for camping. Rob and Jake put it up yesterday to test it out.

I think the kids will have a good time- they were so excited once the tent was up and Jake even went inside and grabbed his pillow off of his bed and took it to the tent.

We also had gone to their school's fun fair and Jake LOVED the bouncy rides- but Owen, was less than thrilled!

Camping Bug

I think we have the camping bug. Last night, we went and visiting my brother and sister n law's campsite and it was a lot of fun.

Rob and I have been talking in the last month whether or not, we should try tent camping this year or if our youngest is still too little??? He and I went camping years ago and we both grew up camping, so we know how much fun it can be. It is also important to us to introduce this to our boys so that they will hopefully, have an appreciation for nature and all the possible outdoor activities.

We may have to look into getting a tent and then go from there...... Now is the perfect time of year to get ready for it

Today we had a great day in Chicago- we went down to the Navy Pier. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time. Mommy and Daddy had fun too- love the city!!!
