More

Surprise....

Rob's new Blue Suede Shoes...... this will go perfect with our eclectic ornaments we have acquired over the years..... Rob loved them

Exciting evacuation today

So there was a  milk truck that hit a tanker truck today on the Freeway right at I-10 and Chandler Blvd-  there was an explosion and both trucks started on fire- one with milk the other with fuel-
It was a huge deal on the news-    Rob actually saw the accident after it happened in his rear view mirror and he called me.   I heard the explosion when it occurred, but didn't know at the time what it was.... well as the morning went on..  they evacuated the area school, hotels restaurants- whatever was in a 1 mile radius of the accident

We got a call for O's school and I went to pick him up-  one of the many benefits of being at home- I was able to still work and he was so very good while I was working!!!

Here are some recent photos with the Gus clan

Fall Festival - Jake is trying to dunk Miss Christina from Kids Club- many close shots and on the target- just not hard enough to dunk!!!

End of October.....2011

Another month of 2011 to a close, man, this year has gone by fast.

Of course this year, we went out trick or treating and the weather was pretty good- not too hot, and not too cold-  when it was all said and done, the boys were a little sweaty with their masks on- but they didn't care.   They were more concerned with their "loot"

So here are some pictures of Batman and Optimus Prime!!!

So, onto my next discussion......  I am a part of Facebook... and there are at times, some very interesting comments noted people, some that really piss me off, and other that are just down right weird..... that is the beauty of social media.... but after getting into some "heated" exchange of words or seeing other peoples debates,  I am not too forth coming......   Not that I don't have my opinion- there is no lacking in that dept. , but sometimes I am just not in the mood, or feel "up to " write some long ass note or put my 2 cents in..... But here, I can do whatever I want on this thing!!!

So here goes,        ok, so the Duggars are having their 20th child??  really, do you really think you  need to populate the world anymore-  time to put a cork in it- or tie it off

This Penn state issue with coach and the so called sexual abuse of a 10 yr old boy - makes me feel sick-  once again, let's cover something up and then it comes all out later on after we have put these people on some pedestal( Coach, assisted coach)  for the ones who were told about the abuse and did nothing, or half assed it and didn't follow up on the reports, shame on you--just as much!!!!

Dr Murray conviction- first off, I agree with this verdict.... but let's not forget the drug addict is also to blame...... oh, yes, it is a disease, and who knows how he got into the Propofol- but wow- everyone wants to go after the Dr-  Now, do not take this the wrong way, he did provide, order the meds, and supply him ( and also had some questionable actions going on) but what about the pharmacists- or pharmacy or supplier - who was questioning this?? Isnt a little strange for 1 dr to get this amount- I really do not know the particulars on this- so not sure how this all went down- but where did this Dr GET the stuff from and was this questioned?????
AS Nurses and Doctors, upon getting your degree you do take an oath and promise to uphold your actions........  I hope the Dr does get his medical license taken away- but of course he has 4, ( in 4 different states) hopefully, he will not get to practice in any of them.

By the way, for those of you who do not know, Michael Jackson's Thriller ALBUM was the first one I bought when I was a kid..... I was/am a  fan of his music..... such a waste and shame....... all I am going to remember is his stupored,  slurred speech caught on the dr's  I-Phone       Well
I guess that is all my ranting for now!!!

PS-  I did get a really nice complement from a pt. today- she said I was very motivating, and positive and that made her very positive and motivated about her health and well being-  WOW, I Can really  make a difference from my chair!

Oh wait- I have to watch Parenthood- so pics will come-  I have to devote some serious time for my  year 2000 compueter to download, so I will post next, the pics!!

Hello from the state of the sun.........      we had a little tease of cooler weather a couple of weeks ago, and then it was warm again....  highs in the upper 90's and a/c back on

We are getting ready for Halloween- we have costumes ready,   we just bought some pumpkins and plan to go to The Farm for their festivities this next weekend.   This week, though, they say by Wednesday the temps will be in the 80s and 70s as highs, just where we like it.  I am happy to wait until then to go to the pumpkin patch....

We went to the Farmers market today and Rob bought some Serrano pepper jelly.....  we tried the pomegranite,  apple butter, and "wine grape" jelly. They all were good- Rob was more daring, he tried the serrano pepper, jabenero and also the jalepeno pepper jelly - he then decided on the Serrano pepper-   he will get to enjoy that all by himself!! hee hee!   I have never had apple butter, it was pretty good and the man selling the jams said you can put it in oatmeal???

The kids got a pumpkin scone and blueberry muffin and I bought a bag of mini red, orange and yellow sweet peppers to put in my salads this week and have them with hummus.  I love the tomato basil hummus from Trader Joes- it is delish!

I love Sundays .... they are our "veg" days..... reading the paper, coffee,  (football) although, J yesterday was asking to "watch college football"!!!   I have been working on my scrapbooks photos organizing and it has been fun looking the kids pics when they were babies-  Where has the time gone????

Enjoy these recent pics......

I Love Autumn!!!!

I love Autumn we have had busy weekends with  birthdays, festivals and Fall decorating!!!!!

Friday, October 7, 2011

The weather is awesome now.......  we have opened up, the air is off and we are enjoying the cool temps.    I love having the windows open and I have the blinds cracked at night. I have been going to sleep with the moonlight shining in since we have had a full moon recently, it has been quite peaceful!

This weather is so nice, it makes me want to get outside, and get back to taking some pics.   It going to be hiking time for me and I am going to be planting some flowers in the backyard planters.  Tonight someone had a fire pit burning, it reminded me of camping.........Rob is now wanting one for the backyard

we have some little friends in the backyard- they move fast, but I was able to catch one and take its pic...... the boys like to ask me if I want to go "lizard hunting" !!!

Time to slow down

Wow, we have had some busy days recently- it seems like every day is rush, rush, rush.  I think it is time to slow the pace down - or make an effort to do so and stop living on "auto pilot" !!

We went to the Tempe Town lake to see the Healing Fields on 9/11- what a sight it was- the boys were given flags, and it was in the morning- so it was quiet, low key, and the weather is cooling down- so it was nice and breezy by the lake.
They were reading the names of the victims and it was surreal- couldn't help but think about that day 10 years ago and where we were.

Our little guy turned 4 - wow where has the time gone- he is not our baby anymore.....We had a fun little party for him and he received his first real bike with training wheels- He has been riding it like crazy and soon, I bet we will be able to take the training wheels off!!

Time to get back out- and take some pictures- the weather is cooling off- and so us big kids (Rob and I) will be getting out our bikes- I guess I can take the baby seat off the back   ; (
We still have our bike trailer- and I saw my bike tires need a little air-  Basket is ready to go for our Starbucks rides!!!  Need to make a cup holder for my basket-  Eileen- have any suggestions??

Go Pack Go!!!!

I love my boys

this is what O has been doing when the camera comes out lately
getting sprayed by his Aunt Eileen : ) he enjoyed it!
Zoyo- the place to go for frozen yogurt
Rob Downtown- at our old stomping grounds- which now just has Starbucks and restaurants
These "stuffies" were laid out on the couch- the boys needed to donate some of them to other kids who would love them as much as they did- they were "taking over"their room, so they picked their faves- and there were no tears ( which I was surprised about)

The boys are loving summer, their swimming lessons and getting back to the regular school year!!

The heat is getting a little old for Rob and I ( not so much the kids) but the end will be here soon.... we are going to the pool and the boys are enjoying their lessons- that I will be continuing these thru the year as long as they are offered.

J and I went swimming in the pool at my sister's house, and it was really warm outside- I had been cleaning and then we went over there- anyways- it kind of sealed the deal for me- to definitely get a house with a pool- after we got out- we were cold in her house!!!! I was shivering- that cooled me down the rest of the night!!!

O did really well today at his lessons... he ended up going "to the purple wall" which was walking in the pool across the way a little- he has refused to go in previous lessons- but today he did that and also jumped in the pool twice!! There was a little incentive in it for him- we do not typically bribe our kids- but we did a little today- since up until this point he wasn't doing all the things the class was doing. I guess a little promise of something doesn't hurt.........

Oh well- they both leave the pool having fun and telling us what they did- O even said next time he was going "to swim across and go down the slide" I am not sure that will happen, but hey, he is excited to go, so that is all that is important!!!

Here are some recent pics of the boys and what they have been up to!!!
