This and That.....
We have been going through all of our stuff in every closet, nook, and cranny so to speak and really deciding what is needed, what we use, wear, will use and so on and so on..... I have been overwhelmed lately with work, home chores, trying to put the house back on the market- and what is needed to do to get ready for that. In the mean time, I am also missing seeing my family with my work schedule and how it is...... Some days, I can handle it and some days, I am thinking "what am I doing this all for???"
Some days it is too much..... much too much....
The last 2 days, we have donated clothes, baby stuff and odd and ends and it feels good. I am realizing that if my house is cluttered, than my mind is cluttered .......... well- my mind needs a little moving room, if you know what I mean.....
here are some oldies and some recent ones- see if you can't guess when and what year these pics were taken....... some are down memory lane........

Oh Happy Valentines Day- part 2
Happy Valentines Day Everyone!!!
Daddy took the boys out this morning while I was still sleeping to get donuts and coffee. I woke up to an empty house- I must have needed the sleep as I didn't hear them at all!!!!
This house has been a sugar fest with all the sugar, chocolates, suckers and sweets the kids have received either at school or by mail!!! What is a donut going to do???
Seriously, they will probably get withdrawals!!!
Hope everyone had a great, love day !!!!

Keeping it simple.....
This was taken a few months ago- it is of Owen really enjoying our ice cream trip to Culvers.
Sometimes you have to enjoy the little things, because it is the little things that will hopefully add up to big things....... and life is just a little better with some ice cream
We had a movie night tonight- watched Toy Story 2 with the kids and had an indoor picnic at dinner time on the living room floor- Then it was followed by a Valentines day sucker from their Valentines box....... Life is Good and it is good when it is simple
Jake said a funny thing the other day-we were picking out clothes for school on Friday and I grabbed some dark blue cord pants- Jake said- "ooooh these feel comfy" ( he has this thing, he loves to wear "comfy soft clothes like sweats and pajamas that are really soft- he calls them "comfy") So we are getting ready- and I grabbed a red and dark blue shirt- and then Jake says.....
J- " I want to wear my tie shoes"
Me- " Oh, yea, which tie shoes?"
J- "The ones with the stars on them"
( these are converse sneakers that he has that are black)
Me- " Oh, ok, you can wear those
J- " I want to wear them, because they are fancy and we are having our party today"
Kids- they say the funniest things!

Cloudy and a Chance of Meatballs......
We had our movie night tonight- I don't know what it is, but the boys love to get their pillows and blankets from their bed and get in their jammies and snuggle while watching a movie- they must get this from their mommy and daddy, as we love our movies....
Anyhow- we watched "Cloudy and a Chance of Meatballs" they both loved it- and Owen and Jake ate popcorn and had pop ( Owen didn't really have pop- he had Gatorade- but kept calling it POP).

My personal Barista......
Random pics......
well, right now we are all fighting illness so we have broke out the "emergen c" and trying to stay or get healthy......
Here are some random pics....
We are making a day trip list for the coming year- here is what we have so far..
1. return to the Milwaukee zoo
2. Shedd Aquarium
3. Lego land- we are waiting until flu season is over for this one- since there are many "hands on" activities
4. Wisconsin Dells for a long weekend
5. Train place that Uncle Mark went to when he was in town- he gave us a flyer and the boys would love it!!!!
6. I want to go to Galena-
7. Beach Park- I can't remember the name- but it is the one off of Lake Michigan
That is all I have for now..... I am sure we will have more things planned..... Of course most of these will occur when the weather is warmer- which hopefully, will be soon..... winter is getting old ....
Jake was asking if we could go to IHOP for their pancakes- so I made some with a smiley face- that is what he orders when we have gone there for our Sunday breakfast.....
We didn't have strawberries, so I used whip cream and chocolate chips for the eyes...... I guess they kind of turned out- the kids ate it all - so I guess it worked
