Hello from the state of the sun.........      we had a little tease of cooler weather a couple of weeks ago, and then it was warm again....  highs in the upper 90's and a/c back on

We are getting ready for Halloween- we have costumes ready,   we just bought some pumpkins and plan to go to The Farm for their festivities this next weekend.   This week, though, they say by Wednesday the temps will be in the 80s and 70s as highs, just where we like it.  I am happy to wait until then to go to the pumpkin patch....

We went to the Farmers market today and Rob bought some Serrano pepper jelly.....  we tried the pomegranite,  apple butter, and "wine grape" jelly. They all were good- Rob was more daring, he tried the serrano pepper, jabenero and also the jalepeno pepper jelly - he then decided on the Serrano pepper-   he will get to enjoy that all by himself!! hee hee!   I have never had apple butter, it was pretty good and the man selling the jams said you can put it in oatmeal???

The kids got a pumpkin scone and blueberry muffin and I bought a bag of mini red, orange and yellow sweet peppers to put in my salads this week and have them with hummus.  I love the tomato basil hummus from Trader Joes- it is delish!

I love Sundays .... they are our "veg" days..... reading the paper, coffee,  (football) although, J yesterday was asking to "watch college football"!!!   I have been working on my scrapbooks photos organizing and it has been fun looking the kids pics when they were babies-  Where has the time gone????

Enjoy these recent pics......

I'm a Trader Joe Loyalist .... never disappointed .... many great goodies of discovery there. The Trader's Mango butter & also the Cranberry Apple butter is yummo on oatmeal. Tell Rob I just bought Raspberry Hahanero Jam at a Farmer's Market & it is from Made By Bees on Higley Rd. in Gilbert .... they set up in a tent market out here across from Lowe's on Thunderbird weekends.

Apple butter is yummo. I bet it would be good in oatmeal. Love sweet peppers and hummus too... I'm partial to the garlic lovers hummus at Sprouts. I love fall at farmers markets. Sounds like you guys had fun :)
