I'm  back!!   

Ha, it has been some time and I am back on with some updates.......   I had to remove the music from the blog, because, now, apparently, it can only be listened to when you go to the website- so sorry-  I am not sure if you liked it or it was a annoying, but that is why it is no longer on here......

I have again, been slacking in the blog/picture area- but things have been quite busy!!!!

School will be starting in 2 weeks for the kids!!  I can not believe and O will be in kindergarten.  I am happy for him, but sad for me in a way, since now they both will be in grade school.   Time is just zooming by!   

We had a "staycation" 2 weeks ago and did a few things around here.  I am trying to catch up on some books to read, but I had a pile of magazines to get through first, so I have been making more of an effort to get those done.   My sis and I trade, so I had a back up.

well I guess I will just post some pics- you know pictures are worth a thousand words, right??

Beautiful Saturday

It was a beautiful day here in AZ, breezy, sunny and in the 80's.  Cool enough to turn the air off and enjoy.

This is the beginning of our 3 day Memorial weekend and it was a great start.  Kids had swimming lessons this morning, then we stopped at Trader Joes on the way home.   We are taking care of E and M's house/garden so we spent the later afternoon swimming. It was actually warmer in the pool, than out of the pool- we were all cold!!!  


We have been on the go, constantly, working, running, here and there and we decided this weekend to lay low..... It's the beginning of summer vacation. J had his last day of school on Thursday and I worked in the morning, then went to his last day party in his class- where the kids were given awards- J got the "Peacemaker Award" for keeping peace in class.... I asked him what he did to earn this, and he said he would always pick up the tables, room, put things away  haha- I asked him, "Oh really, then you should be able to do that at home"  haha  He just grinned!!!


Kids are doing well at swim lessons.  J passed the first test and Owen is still working on his "airplane" but there has been such a huge improvement!

Well well well,    it sure has been months since my last post........  I have not put much time or thought into this blog and have neglected it big time!   I have decided to start posting again since I have heard that this was being checked, but no updates..... ;(    

Many of my peeps are not on Facebook, so they do not get to see pics of the boys or hear the latest news, even if it is just meaningless jabber.....  When I am on the computer, I have been using my limited time on Facebook, checking mail, and not much else....  It doesn't help that the computer I am using is a dinosaur, but soon that will change...

So here we are, and I see the last post was in January...Wow, what has happened lately??  Well, the boys are growing fast- J is almost done with 1st grade and O tested for kindergarten, early entry, and he passed and will be going to kindergarten!!!   I think he is ready, and he only misses the cut off day by 5 days or so.....  He is excited to go to the same school as J.  
We have been finishing up the school year, only 9 more days for J and then summer vacation for him.


I have not been taking as much pictures as I would want, but will soon be working 4 days a week and have big plans for the 1 day to myself!   I am hoping it will free up some time, and get some things done around here, appts., and then fun crafty time!    I am so thrilled to be working 4 days, and will be having Wednesdays off, so I technically, I do not have to work more than 2 days in a row.....
I have been working a concentrated effort to get healthy, by hiking and eating better.  I have lost 17 lbs thus far, but I know for me, I need to exercise and still have a big long term goal, but short term goals first, one day at a time!  I just put on a pair of jean capris I could not zip or button, so that is always motivating!  I have been hiking here and there, I just need to get my ass out of bed in the morning, now that it is beginning to get too hot to hike in the afternoon...... I am not really a morning person, but this has been acquired over the years......
So here it goes, check back frequently, I will be adding more regular posts and pics!!

New Year, New Me

New Year is under way and I am making some very positive changes.  It has been fun and I have enjoyed the changes feeling better overall.  

I have been planning a couple of trips for this coming year which is fun for me..... big fun this year Can't wait!!  


The boys are watching football today and the Packers play ~  Go Pack Go!!!

I am next going to get my pics out for scrapbooking......  I love looking through the photos again.

Here is to 2102!!!

I have spent the last couple of days off from work enjoying the family, putting away holiday decorations and getting ready for back to our normal routine.......

I enjoy this time of the year- a new year, clean slate, time to think ahead and of future goals.....
I have spent the last couple of days also thinking of my 2012 goals, the books I will read, the things we will do as a family......  I have some lofty goals, but this needs to be a year of positive change, saying NO more often,  being a little more productive personally, amidst all my normal day to day activities.....


I received a couple of books this Christmas, a couple by Sark and also one by Dr Andrew Weil, both of which I have read some of their previous works and enjoy......both of these books will coincide with some of the goals I am working on this year.....  My parents gave me a frappacino maker- it is awesome- I am trying to "tweak" my drinks, so I can control what I put in them and still be tasty... but this will save me some "mucho dinero" this year alone, as I will not be making my weekly deposits into the bank of Starbucks!

Today, I sat outside and caught up on reading magazines and watching the kids play in the backyard.  I placed a couple of chairs in the grass one for me and the other for my feet and it was incredibly quiet, except for the birds.  There were birds singing, and chirping, and then I saw a hummingbird fly by me, actually heard him, when I looked up.  The sun was setting and I realized, this is what it is all about, the simple things~ watching the kids play, sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and listening to sounds of nature and I was at peace.

Life is Good!   We had a great Christmas and today is one of the days of complete laziness.....

reading, watching movies, hanging out with the family,  all kinds of goodies as leftovers and this momma is not doing a thing........haha!

the end of the year is coming and I always think about goals for the next year.... I can't help it.....   I have many  for the new year!
